How to Play Lotto Powerball

Lotto Powerball is an exciting game you play with Lotto. All the prizes you can win in Lotto Powerball will be big, and if you win Lotto Powerball division One, your prize could be really big!

To play Lotto Powerball you must also play Lotto. You can play Lotto Powerball simply by adding a Lotto Powerball number to each of four or more of your lotto entries ( a Lotto entry being each line of Lotto). The Lotto Powerball numbers range form 1 to 8. You can choose your own Lotto Powerball numbers, or have your Lotto Powerball numbers randomly selected.

Each Lotto Powerball entry (being each Lotto Powerball number added to a Lotto entry on your ticket) costs 50 cents in addition tot he 50 cents for each Lotto entry, The minimum number Lotto Powerball purchase for any ticket is $4, $2 for four Lotto entries and $2 for four Powerball entries.

You can play Lotto Powerball with any type of Lotto dip option – Lucky Dip, Super Lucky Dip, Double Dip, Mega Dip, Combo or by completing a self select entry using a coupon.

To win a Lotto Powerball prize you must first win a Lotto prize. If you have a Winning Lotto Powerball number on a Lotto Combo ticket that has Lotto Prize Winning numbers you will also win the corresponding Lotto Powerball prizes.

Lotto and Lotto Powerball prizes will be paid as one amount.

1. CHOOSING YOUR LOTTO POWERBALL NUMBERS.
You can choose your own Lotto Powerball numbers using any Lotto Powerball coupon.
When playing Lotto Powerball with any Lotto Dip you have two options. You can choose your own favourite Lotto Powerball number by letting the Lotto sales person know you want that option before you request your Lotto dip ticket. This will give you the same Powerball number attached to each Lotto entry on the ticket for which you have Lotto Powerball Lucky Dip numbers randomly selected for you by the Lotto Terminal.
A minimum of four Lotto Powerball entries must be purchased.

2. PLAYING POWERBALL WITH YOUR REGULAR LOTTO DIP PURCHASES.
This is an easy way to play. If you want to play Lotto Powerball with your regular Lotto Dip purchase you have a number of options,

3. USING A LOTTO POWERBALL COUPON.
Simply fill in a Lotto Powerball coupon at any Lotto outlet and give it to the Lotto salesperson. Each Lotto Powerball coupon has on it 8 pairs of corresponding Lotto and Lotto Powerball "boards" marked A to H. Each completed pair of boards with the same letter is an entry into the Lotto and Lotto Powerball game. Each combined Lotto and Lotto Powerball entry costs $1 (50c for the Lotto entry and 50c for the Lotto Powerball entry.) The minimum purchase is $4, $2 for four Lotto entries plus $2 for the four Lotto Powerball entries.

You can play Lotto Powerball simply by marking any six number between 1 and 40 on at least four Lotto boards, and then marking one Lotto Powerball number between 1 and 8 on each corresponding Lotto Powerball board.

4. PLAYING LOTTO POWERBALL WITH LOTTO COMBO.
Lotto Powerball is also available with Lotto Combo. You can choose your own Lotto Powerball number, either by using the Lotto Combo Powerball coupon, or in conjunction with a Combo Lucky Dip by letting the terminal randomly select one Lotto Powerball number. The one Lotto Powerball number chosen by you, or the terminal, will then be added to every Lotto entry derived from the Lotto numbers on your Lotto Combo ticket. The Lotto Powerball number will be printed on your ticket beneath your Lotto Combo selection.

With one visit to you Lotto outlet you can enter your lucky number2,3,4,5,or 10 draws. If you are marking a coupon, simply mark one of the multidraw boxes on your coupon or tell the lotto sales person how many draws you would like your lotto and Powerball entries to cover.

If the Lotto Powerball Division One prize is not won, the money will be added to the Lotto Powerball Division One prize for the next draw.
The Lotto Powerball Division One prize pool will Jackpot for a maximum of nine consecutive draws. After that the Lotto rules will provide that if there is no Lotto Powerball Division One winner on the tenth consecutive draw, the total Lotto Powerball Division One prize pool amount will be added to the prize pool allocation for the next lowest prize pool (division) with one or more winners, starting at Lotto Powerball Division Two.

If any Lotto Powerball game there are no winners in Lotto Powerball Divisions Two to Four, the portion of the the prize pool allocated to the division in which there were no winners will be added to the prize pool allocation for the next lowest prize division with one or more winners. Should there be no winners in Lotto Powerball Division Five the Division five prize pool will be added tot he total Lotto Powerball prize pool for the next game.

Lotto Powerball is drawn as part of the live Lotto draw on Saturdays at 8pm on TV2. First six winning Lotto numbers and the bonus number are drawn. Then the special Lotto Powerball draw machine draws one ball from a group of eight balls, numbered one to eight. The one ball drawn is the Lotto Powerball winning number for that draw.
